Sandra (Sandi) Smith, Esq.
Sandra spent many years specializing in civil, intellectual property, trade secret, and criminal litigation at O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles and Fenwick & West in Silicon Valley. She also served as Director of Litigation for Apple Computer and actively managed over 100 outside and internal attorneys and paralegals. She successfully developed and executed Apple’s global strategic defense of intellectual property.
Sandra has extensive experience representing domestic abuse survivors and their children in family law matters and has been appointed by courts to act as guardian ad litem for children in family law matters. Sandra served as a judge pro tem in the Superior Court of the State of California.
Teaching experience includes judging moot court competitions at various law schools and acting as a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Sandra has also been actively involved on the boards of academic and non-profit institutions including Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys in Washington, D.C., Sasha Bruce Youthworks, Catalogue for Philanthropy, Many Hands, DC, Tegla Loroupe Peace Organization, and the Churchill Club.
She earned a law degree from the University of Southern California Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (highest honors) from UCLA.
